Anyway, there is a photo I took and amazed myself when I looked through my camera. I really just want get a reference for how the shadows fall under the sun and only used the camera on my phone. I was happy with the original one, but I am happier with the edited one. Although I don't really know what it is, a plain jar under the sun, I like the shadow in the bright sun light, I like the reflection from the shadow onto the jar, and the amazing circles come from somewhere on the jar. Maybe on my mind I like something more abstract, but I don's know how to reach it.

A happy accident
So far, I have done quite a lot of photographs. Look through them, I can see my improvement. I feel more confident about cropping and the easy editing. I'd like to learn more. But I think my editing skill is on the same level of my ability about photography. I am a lot better than when I just started. I am able to see the shortcoming of other people's photos. I started to edit even my everyday normal photos before show them to people. But my photos and my ideas are still quite plain. I am looking for more and I feel I need more but I am kind of at the stage of don't know how.

More thought about portfolio
Seen Kirsty's portfolio today which is very impressive. I like her work from which you can feel she has very strong ideas to express herself which I think I am lack of.
For the portfolio itself, I think the work you choose to show and how to display them are very important. The first image is very important I think, it is the beginning of showing your work, it will give the people who seeing your portfolio the first impression about your work. This needs to be carefully selected. When you open Kirsty's portfolio, a very striking image appeared in front of your eyes, which mounded on a large white board. The board is rather large for the image, but it made the image so clearly stand out to your eyes. The whole portfolio is showing one idea, the direction is very clear, Especially with Kirsty's explanation. It is a very good portfolio.
Naill explained about the fine art and two types of artists. Before I thought I don't have a lot of ideas about art. Like Kirsty, she wants to express herself. But I don't feel that strongly on myself. Good to know there is other type of artists. Think I maybe need more directions. Hope this will come more clear with time pass!

About Portfolio
An artist's portfolio is an edited collection of their best artwork intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work. A portfolio is used by artists to show employers their versatility by showing different samples of current work. Typically, the work reflects an artist's best work or a depth in one specific area of work.
Before, Portfolios were printed out and placed into a book. Nowadays, with the increased use of the internet, most of the artists use website to show their portfolios.
Internet changed the whole world. Website portfolios can reach anybody at any time at anywhere. It is easily edited, with the techniques of website design, it still can show the artists own style. It almost has unlimited capacity. You can put on as many work as you want. It can clearly put your work into different catalogues which will make it very easy for people to find the work they want to see. It is a very good way of advertising as well. Some artists have their blogs or their social network links on their website, make it easy for people to follow them. And some artists sell their work on their website too.
Compare with the website the traditional way of portfolio has its limitations. But I think it is really personal, it is really depends on the way how you want to show your work. Especially for artists, artworks are so different from normal products. A lot of times, you need to see the real work with your eyes, even samples, not just a image from a computer screen. Also computers can be cheating, images could have been edited with those clever software. A paper book portfolio may not reach so many people, but it is more real.
Fast is not everything. Sometimes, you need to slow down so that you can see and feel!
